Before joining Gumtree.com 8 years ago, Duncan thought data analysis sounded boring. Quickly realising he was very wrong, he ended up managing web & app analytics for >70 platforms at eBay Classifieds Group before moving to Google in 2016 to join the Google Analytics 360 Team.
Since then he has helped customers and partners understand, use and integrate with Google Marketing Platform via Google Cloud Platform, Ads Data Hub, DMPs, CDPs, CRM systems, BI tools and countless APIs. He’s learned all about advanced algorithmic attribution, inferring causality in digital marketing experiments, 1P/3P data onboarding and activation, ITP, GDPR and the challenges of cooperative marketing for CPG manufacturers.
After his first encounter with time series forecasting 7 years ago he’s been involved with numerous data science projects at eBay Classifieds and Google, most recently helping Google’s largest global clients implement ML-driven customer segmentation, purchase propensity, churn prediction and lifetime value forecasting models.
